Homegrown National Park Poster

The challenge was to create a double sided typographical poster that provided all the information for a the Design Challenge and would be folded to fit in a standard size envelope to be mailed to the invitees.
This is an open competition whose purpose is to gather a range of ideas that can provide inspiration and practical information for homeowners and property managers in the Homegrown National Park boundary and beyond. The Design Challenge aims to generate awareness about the importance of making sustainable improvements to our urban landscape, one property at a time.
My approach was simple; I created a 3D text of the word Toronto which was large and blank to represent the city of Toronto which is filled with tall buildings that barely have anything organic on them. Then I placed minature figures all over who were trying to bring some colour into the city by planting beautiful trees and flowers. The monarch butterflies are a representation of one of the Homegrown National Park's main projects which is to save the monarch butterflies which fly to Toronto from the U.S every year but recently those numbers have been dwindling.
I also redesigned the Homegrown logo to show nature along with the monarch butterflies which I placed at the back of the poster to keep the theme flowing.
I hope you enjoy and appreciate my work!
